THE ISLAND OF CRETE.
Our extra-virgin olive oil originates from the opulent valley of Messara on the island of Crete. The island of Crete is famous for its production of some of the world’s best-quality olive oils that offer unique and distinctive flavors and aromas. This region has been recently recognized as a Protected Geographical Indication by the European Union: the P.D.O. Messara.
We only use the Koroneiki variety which is a very small olive producing a smaller yield however, generating this incredible extra virgin olive oil, rich flavours that are perfectly balance the mild fruit aroma with the pungent and bitter flavour of the olives.
Crete’s ideal climatic characteristics based on its geographical location: the hot summers, the mild winters, the aridity and humidity levels as well as the mineral rich soil. Combining all these factors with our modern cultivation techniques, and our traditional know how allow us to offer an exceptional product. In fact, it is thanks to our careful processing method that we are able to maintain the unique flavours that have helped establish Crete as a leader in Olive Oil production.
Our second factory located in Achinos Stilida, produces and packages our Greek Olives. This fertile area, situated close to Lamia, is surrounded by thousands of acres of olive groves. The mild Mediterranean climate translates into an abundance of fruits and well-known olive production areas of the famous Kalamata olives. Our factory also produces other olives that are regionally cultivated offering the well know unique flavors and tastes.
Finally, our company’s environmental awareness allows us to help protect the region and encourage the proper development of cultivation methods. Harvesting of the olives is done by hand to protect the trees and not to damage the delicate fruit as well as affecting and damaging other parts of the environment.
